monday moments, weekly

Well hello there this is bit of a different style to my previous "Monday Moments" blog posts ain't it? I was starting to find my old style of these post's were getting a bit predictable with the thing's I had been loving. So I've decided to make these posts into five things that I have done in the past week, let me know if you prefer them this way, as I always like to get feedback on my blog.

One || I've been on medication this past week as all the muscles at the bottom of my back decided to seize up, so I've been in so much pain and am currently on Naproxen aswell as Diazepam just to help with the pain 😔. The only good thing to come out of this is the Diazepam help me sleep of a night time, so I've been getting a good 7-8 hours sleep unlike my usual 4 hours a night.

Two || I finally got around to setting up my blog email address (claire@nailbeautylife.co.uk), I've been meaning to do this since I signed up for my blog domain and finally got round to doing it. It is costing me £3.99 a month which is not bad, I decided to set it up as I really want to up my blogging game and think a personal email address looks a bit more professional, oh and I also renewed my domain for another year!

Three || I've found a new show on Netflix that I've become addicted to watching, its a Netflix exclusive and it's called Sugar Rush. It's a baking show where there is three rounds and four teams of two that are all competing against each other, there are given a theme they have to base there cakes around and at the end of the show, one team wins $10,000. Some of the cakes they make are amazing, I wish I had their talent!

Four || How nice has all this hot weather been that we have been having just lately! It's been so nice not to constantly have rain, instead we get hot weather for a couple of weeks. The only downside to it is that it has killed all the flowers in our newly done back garden, but that just gives us an excuse to go and buy all new flowers very soon. The last two days though we have had some rain which has cooled it right down a bit, but I'm ready for the hot weather to come back again now.

Five || Lastly this past week I have gone through my BlogLovin account and un-followed all the blogs that haven't been updated in about a year, so I've been looking for new blogs to follow as my account on there seems pretty bare now and I need some new reading material. If you want me to check out your blog then be sure to leave me a comment below, and I will head on over and have a good read of it.

fitbit, fitbit versa, versa, fitness,

I have been thinking about doing a blog series with all my Fitbit stats since I purchased the new Fitbit Versa a couple of months ago, as I wasn't sure that my phone was picking up on my step count throughout the day and I wanted to try and be a bit more active.

So looking back on my week, it looks like Wednesday was my worst day and I think that was mainly because I just had a chilled day at home not really doing much.

My best day for steps was definitely Thursday with Tuesday coming close aswell. I try to get at least 5000 steps in each day but sometimes I do fail miserably haha!

Hopefully next week's stats will look alot better than this weeks has, if I can get my 5000 steps in each day next week I may challenge myself the week after that for 10,000 steps a day but will just have to see how I go.

ciate, sleek makeup, nars, affect cosmetics, beautyuk

Ciate Fierce Flicks Eyeliner || I haven't actually used this as of yet, but I know I will do soon and it looked nice in with this flat lay image haha. I've just actually used eyeliner before as my eyes get really itchy and I would end up looking like a bloody panda in this heat (just the thought of that made me giggle!).

Sleek Makeup Eyeshadow Palette || In this palette I have two favourites that I tend to go for everytime I use it, I use a light matt brown shade first and blend that in well, and then over the top of that I use a little bit of gold colour just to add a bit more of an effect to it. It's a subtle look that suits me well I think, I will have to take a picture of it next time I do it and post to my Instagram stories.

Nars Powder Foundation || I personally have always preferred powder foundations over liquid foundations, mainly because I find my skin tends to go oily really quickly and powder foundations last longer on me. I don't use it everyday especially in this hot weather there's just no point really is there?!

Affect Cosmetics - Matt Effect Loose Rice Powder || I have been using this powder just over the top of my Nars powder foundation if my face starts to look a bit shiny in places, I don't use it over my entire face but mainly on my T-Zone area as I find that's where it gets shiny throughout the day.

Brushes || Everyone has a favourite brush right? Well I do haha and these two are my favourite ones to use. I know some people have a specific brush for everything, but I actually don't own that many brushes so yeah I can't do that. These are the two I have been reaching for everytime lately.

5 Beauty Favourites

glossybox, hawaiin tropic, regenerate, oriflame, inuwet, exuvance

July Glossybox

I always look forward to seeing what is in my glossybox every month, some of them I love and some of them I ain't that keen on, This month's box is a "under the sea" themed box and I think my favourite thing about it this month is the actual box itself......not the actual contents, I'm just not a fan of the products this month at all.

Senhor Do Bonfim - Sea Water Hair Spray
I have never heard of this brand or product before seeing it in this months box, I can't wait to try it out though and see what effect it has on my hair. Hopefully it has a good effect on my hair as I really like the sound of what this does.

Exuvance - Triple Microdermabrasion Face Polish
I'm gutted I won't be able to use this product as at the moment I'm having to stick to a facial wash that has been suggested by my doctor. I may try this in the future and if I do I will most likely do a blog post about my experience with it.

Oriflame - The One 5-in-1 Wonder Lash Mascara
Apart from the toothpaste this is the only thing I actually was happy with this month, I'm hoping there will be more makeup products in the future and apparently there is in the August box, but will have to wait and see what they will be.

Inuwet - Cheek Shell Brush
Another brush in Glossybox this month, I'm pretty sure the amount of brushes we get I'm going to end up with a full collection of something at some point haha. I guess the look of this brush will be good in flatlay photography though right?

Regenerate - Enamel Science Advanced Toothpaste
This is the product that I was most intrigued by this month, as I've never heard of this brand before or even of a toothpaste that can help to restore the enamel on your teeth. I have already been using this and so far I'm defintley liking it and it doesn't have a horrible taste to it either.

Hawaiin Tropic - Duo Defence Sun Lotion SPF 30
I wasn't too keen on seeing this in this month's box, as due to cream I have to use of a night time for my face I need to use a higher factor SPF. So this will be going in my little donate box that I have in my drawers that every few months I hand out to family members to go through.

netflix, movies, tv series

I have really got back into loving Netflix again these past few weeks, so I thought I would let you know what exactly I have been loving and watching just lately. Some of these are old favourites of mine, and some are ones that I have just recently found.

The Vampire Diaries
I kind of lost track with this for a little while and didn't watch any of it for ages, but now that I have got back into it I have been watching at least 2 episodes of it every night before I go to sleep. I'm currently on season 6: episode 13, so I'm a bit behind on it but am catching up with it slowly.

Safe Haven
This is one of my favourite films that I could watch over and over again!
"When a mysterious woman arrives in a small North Carolina town, she begins a new life but remains haunted by a terrifying secret"
It's one of those films that have you gripped right from the start, by the end of this movie I was in actual tears as the ending of the film comes out of nowhere and it's not how you expect it to end at all.

Haters Back Off
This one of those programmes that I like to just switch on when I want something on in the background whilst I'm doing other stuff, It can be funny but then also cringy at the same time! I've already watched season 1 a while ago, but have just recently started on season 2 now.

and lastly

Magic Mike
Channing Tatum! Need I say more haha, I had never seen this film up until a little while ago but it's a really good film and would happily watch it again lol. Everyone loves a bit of Channing Tatum don't they, I've liked him as an actor since the first Step Up film came out, and can't believe I waited so long to watch Magic Mike.

Are there any films you would recommend me to watch on Netflix?
