October Glossybox Review

26 October 2012
GlossyBox is something you are most probably all aware of by now, it's a monthly subscription box that costs £12.95 a month, where in return you receive a box with 5 beauty products in. You can find out more about GlossyBox over at their website www.glossybox.co.uk

This month after doing a bit of research I decided to sign up to GlossyBox (mainly due to the fact that from this months box they were donating money to Breast Cancer Research). Which is something my aunt as recently been diagnosed with =(.

So this is my review on the October GlossyBox (I was not sent this I paid for it out of my own money, just reviewing it for my blog.)

The theme for this months box was "DIY Beauty"

Yves Rocher - Instant Anti-Wrinkle Moisturiser
full size product is £18 for 30ml

This product claims to provide deep and lasting moisture and to immediately smooth wrinkle. Well firstly i dont have wrinkle...yet lol, but something i've learnt through my beauty therapist course is that wrinkles start to form from the age of 20, so anything to stop those wrinkles from starting is good for me.
I love the feeling of this once you apply it, it has a sort of cucumber smell to it and feels really fresh on your skin, leaves my skin feeling soft throughout the day and not oily. Although i dont know if i would actually purchase this, as i think there are better moisturizers out there for a cheaper price.

Skinetica - Anti Blemish
full size product is £6.99 for 100ml

This product is a unique solution for clearing skin blemishes which is supposed to show results within 2-3 days of using it. I have really sensitive skin and do suffer with a bit of mild acne sometimes, so was curious about using this at first, I've been using it for 3 days now at night, and have noticed a slight improvement in my skin, nothing major but there's something.
I think this is definitely a product i would purchase the full size of once i have used the sample up.

Enzyme Peel Mask
full size product is £49 for 40ml

This is a refreshing gel mask that is supposed to transform the skin in 10 minutes, i was actually looking forward to trying this product until i opened the tube and there was hardly anything in there, may get one use out of it but definitely not enough to be sure if i like the product or not.
Did you receive this product? If so give me your thoughts on it and let me know if its any good?

Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure in the color "Black Platinum"
full size product is £6.99 for 14.7ml

This product claims to be a 5 steps manicure in 1 bottle, which includes a base coat, strengthener, growth treatment, colour and a topcoat.
When i opened my glossybox to see this product i was a happy bunny (being a nail technician we get excited over a new nail varnish colour to try lol). I would definitely not recommend using this without your own base coat though, just down to the fact its a dark colour and it will stain your nails after.
I do like this colour though, it has a slight glittery effect to it and looks like to me it as a sort of midnight bluey undertones to it aswell. Only thing i didn't really like is that it needed 3 coats to build the colour up as it was very sheer at first, which is not something you would expect from a "black platinum" nail varnish.

Anatomicals Body Scrub
full size product is £3.49 for 200ml

Straight away i love the scent of this body scrub, grapefruit is one of my favorite smells of all time (apart from cinnamon & apple candles....my favorite).
I have yet to use this as im already using up body scrubs, but i cant wait to try it, if its as good as it smells than i will definitely be buying the full sized product in the near future.
